Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to renew its professional service agreement with the Active Network for program registration and reservation services, and online payment processing for the Department, which includes indemnification language.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and its participants have benefited from the services provided by Active Network for the past 5 years; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is in the process of completing a request for proposals (RFP) to determine a potential new program registration and reservation system; and
WHEREAS, the Department needs time to conduct a comprehensive RFP process and would like to continue using the Active Network system to manage program registration, memberships, point of sale, facility reservations, and online payment processing while the RFP process is completed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that temporarily renewing with the Active Network for one year with the same scope of services and terms serves a public purpose by providing the software necessary to conduct program registrations, memberships, point of sale activities, facility reservations, and payment processing for all Parks and Recreation programs and facilities; Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the appropriate city officials to enter into the attached professional service agreement which contains an indemnification provision.
