Authorizing a Professional Services Contract with Ward Einess Strategies, LLC. (To be withdrawn)
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code §45.03 requires that all contracts for lobbying activities be first authorized by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor’s Office wishes to contract with Ward Einess Strategies, LLC to provide legislative lobbying for all areas of state tax reform, including but not limited to changes to appropriations of Local Government Aid (LGA); City of St. Paul tax policy provisions, including, but not limited to extending the use of the City’s event district Tax Increment Financing authority; as well as monitoring and advocating for public safety issues aligned with the City’s state legislative agenda; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the scope of services indicated above is consistent with the City’s state legislative agenda; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the appropriate City officials to enter into a professional services agreement with Ward Einess Strategies, LLC.
