Granting a permanent easement for right-of-way purposes to Anoka County over city-owned vacant land located at Unassigned Address along Centerville Road, Lino Lakes, Minnesota.

WHEREAS, the Anoka County Highway Department (“County”) proposes the construction of a single-lane roundabout, raised concrete median, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer system improvements, signage, and other associated improvements on Centerville Road and Ash Street located in the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota with project number SAP 002-621-011 (hereinafter "Highway Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (“City”) is the fee owner of property located along Centerville Road in Lino Lakes, Minnesota, which for tax purposes is identified as PID 35-31-22-34-0011 ("City Property"), a portion of which is identified as Parcel 23 in the Anoka County Highway Project; and
WHEREAS, the County needs to acquire a permanent easement over a portion of the City’s Property (Exhibit A), legally described and depicted in (Exhibit B), in order to construct the Highway Project; and
WHEREAS, the County is offering to purchase said easement for Nine Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($900); and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Manager has determined this to be a fair and reasonable value as determined by an appraisal and agreed to between the City and the County; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to grant a permanent easement to Anoka County, in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto, and to accept payment for said easement, to be deposited in the proper Department account.
