Authorizing an increase in the Parks and Recreation Grant Fund Budget in the amount of $25,000 to reflect grant funding received from the National League of Cities and Children & Nature Network.
Body
WHEREAS, Cities Connecting Children to Nature (CCCN) is an initiative of the National League of Cities’ Youth, Education and Families and the Children & Nature Network; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation applied for (CF# RES PH 16-104), and has now been awarded grant funding in the amount of $25,000 from the CCCN initiative; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to accept this grant and utilize the funding through the spending plan that has been developed; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to amend the Grant Fund budget to reflect this additional funding; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $25,000 in excess of those estimated in the current Grant Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes acceptance of the grant funds and approves these amendments for the Life-to-date Grant Budget.
