Pertaining to a Source Water Protection Plan Implementation Grant Agreement between the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Board of Water Commissioners to define the administration of grant funding to fund the development of an ArcGIS Story Map that will fulfill several SPRWS Wellhead Protection Plan management strategies.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul has need to implement management strategies outlined in the Wellhead Protection Plan; and
WHEREAS, staff had been directed by the Board at its February 13, 2024 meeting to apply for $10,000 in Source Water Protection Plan Implementation grant funding from the Minnesota Department of Health to be used for implementation of the Wellhead Protection Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health approved a grant in the amount of $10,000 for such a purpose; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health has prepared a Source Water Protection Plan Implementation Grant Agreement (“Grant Agreement”) which details the policies and procedures for the administration of the grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Board had the legal authority to apply for the grant, and has the financial, technical, and managerial capacity to comply with the Grant Agreement; and
RESOLVED, that the Board does hereby approve the Grant Agreement between the Board and the Minnesota Department of Health pertaining to the policies and procedures for the administration of grant funds totaling $10,000 and that the proper officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Grant Agreement on behalf of the Board, following approval by the assistant city attorney.
