Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $1,250,000 to accept the 2026 Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Community Project Funding (CPF) federal earmark for the Fire Department's Burn Building Restoration and Reconstruction.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Fire Department received a federal earmark of $1,250,000  from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Economic Development Initiative (EDI) Community Project Funding (CPF) for the Burn Building Restoration and Reconstruction; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council accepted the federal earmark of $1,250,000 on RES 26-1180 on August 5, 2026; and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $1,250,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2026 budget; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the changes to the 2026 budget as specified in the attached financial analysis.
