Amending the 2016 Budget to accept Metropolitan Council Livable Communities Local Housing Incentives Account Grants in the total amount of $400,000.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning and Economic Development has acknowledged the applications of the Neighborhood Development Alliance, Inc. to the Metropolitan Council's Metropolitan Livable Communities Act - Local Housing Incentives Account grants program; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council approved Livable Communities’ Local Housing Incentives Account grants of $400,000 for the 72 Cesar Chavez project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $400,000 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget and recommends the changes to the 2016 budget identified on the attached Budget Amendment; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts this grant, approves the changes identified on the attached Budget Amendment to the 2016 budget and authorize the HRA Executive Director and staff to take all necessary actions to implement this Resolution and the Executive Director is authorized to execute any additional documents and instruments in connection with this Resolution.
