Authorizing the Fire Department to apply for the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for additional staffing to support the firefighter apprenticeship program.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to apply for the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) grant from the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for additional staffing to support the apprenticeship program; and
WHEREAS, the grant amount would be $30,000 and there is no matching funds requirement; and
WHEREAS, the Grants Division of the Office of the Financial Services has reviewed and approved the Intent to Apply request; and
WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the grant agreement, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the Fire Department to apply for the Registered Apprenticeship Program grant.
