Title

Approving the revised petition from Webb A White Trustee for specially assessing the costs of a fire protection system at 161 Snelling Avenue North (Project No. FP2019-03, Assessment No. 197102).

 

Body

In the matter of approving the revised petition from Webb A White Trustee for specially assessing the costs of a fire protection system at 161 Snelling Avenue North.

 

WHEREAS, on June 5, 2019, the City Council approved RES 19-868, said resolution being the approval and authorization to finance the fire protection system at 161 Snelling Avenue North by special assessment in the amount of $89,418.50; and

 

WHEREAS, the property owner has submitted a revised request in the amount of $112,892.50; and

 

WHEREAS, said petition meets the requirements of Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes and the city policy on assessing costs for fire protection systems, as adopted in Council File numbers 88-481 and 97-67; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council hereby receives said petition, and the estimated cost thereof is $112,892.50, financed by assessments; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Council has fully considered and reviewed said petition; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the City Council does hereby approve the revised petition and authorize that the above described improvement be financed by special assessment in accordance with the fire protection sprinkler system requirements and procedures; and be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon completion of said improvement, the proper city officials shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 429 of the Minnesota Statutes and the fire protection system policy.
