Title
Accepting Local Road Improvement funding from the State of Minnesota and amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works Capital Budget to add this funding to Public Works pedestrian improvement projects.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Legislature appropriated $1,444,071 to the City of Saint Paul for construction of accessible pedestrian facilities in the public right of way; and
WHEREAS, the City plans to use these funds for the Fourth & St. Peter Pedestrian Improvement, Cleveland Sidewalk, Marshall Sidewalk and Payne Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Projects; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to add this funding to these projects as follows:
Fourth & St. Peter Pedestrian Improvements $109,518.63
Cleveland - Summit to Marshall Sidewalks $188,300.00
Marshall - Snelling to Albert Sidewalks $212,347.50
Payne Avenue Pedestrian Improvements $933,904.87
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that $1,444,071 is available for appropriation of funds; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the acceptance of the Local Road Improvement funding; and be it finally
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long-Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $1,444,071 is available for appropriation of funds in the Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Capital Improvement Budget in the following particulars:
