Approving the Memorandums of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and AFSCME Clerical, Local 2508; AFSCME Technical, Local 1842 and the Professional Employees Association, Inc. creating a pilot program for the purpose of establishing an equitable language compensation premium for the Saint Paul Public Libraries. (To be laid over one week for adoption)

Whereas, the last Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and AFSCME Clerical, Local 2508 and AFSCME Technical, Local 1842 which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on August 16, 2023, continues in full force and effect through December 31, 2025, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and
Whereas, the last Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the Professional Employees Association, Inc. which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on June 28, 2023, continues in full force and effect through December 31, 2025, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and
Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and AFSCME Clerical, Local 2508; AFSCME Technical, Local 1842 and the Professional Employees Association reached a tentative agreement on new Memorandums of Agreement that, once approved, shall run concurrently with the 2023 - 2025 collective bargaining agreements; now therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council, pursuant to the Saint Paul City Charter Section 6.03.3(5) hereby approves and ratifies the attached Memorandums of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and AFSCME Clerical, Local 2508; AFSCME Technical, Local 1842 and the Professional Employees Association.
