Authorizing Office of Financial Services to budget $150,000 in funds to the Energy Initiatives Project AU in the Central Service Fund for the 2027 clean energy tax credit prep contract.

WHEREAS, the City has an estimated eleven clean energy projects placed in service in 2026 and eligible for the Direct Pay tax credit program;
WHEREAS, the City must secure external expertise in demonstrating compliance with tax credit eligibility and completing and filing tax credit paperwork with the IRS;
WHEREAS, the City must begin now to prepare documentation ahead of the 2027 tax filing deadline;
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $150,000 in the Central Service Fund; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $150,000 is available for appropriation in the Central Service Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
