Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation in the amount of $4,000 from the Midway Men's Club for Hancock Recreation Center.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation, through Hancock Recreation Center, offers many events, classes and activities for youth and families in the Hamline Midway Neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, the Midway Men's Club is a fundraising group which has supported youth activities through monetary donations in the Midway area since 1960; and
WHEREAS, the Midway Men's Club wishes to donate $4,000 for use in October through December 2012, to enhance youth programming at Hancock Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the money will be used to create and support programs for neighborhood youth offered by Saint Paul Parks and Recreation at Hancock Recreation Center; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts the donation in the amount of $4,000 appropriated for use by Hancock Recreation Center to support youth activities, and thanks the Midway Men's Club for its generous donation.
