Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $37,830 for the 2017 Hazardous Materials Emergency Preparedness Grant.

 

Body

WHEREAS, under RES 18-303 the Fire Department applied for and received a grant of $37,830 from the State of Minnesota for the 2017 Hazardous Material Emergency Preparedness Grant to provide training for firefighters; and

 

WHEREAS, the grant includes an in-kind match of $9,457.50; and

 

WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the grant received; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $37,830 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $37,830  is available for appropriation , and said 2018 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby  amended; and be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appropriate city officials are authorized to enter into the attached grant agreement
