Approving the construction cooperative agreement between the City and the Metropolitan Council regarding construction of a manhole over a City 42-inch sanitary sewer at the intersection of State and Stevens.

Whereas, the Metropolitan Council plans to construct manholes on the Council interceptor sewer 1-SP-230 in the area of State and Stevens Streets and clean the interceptor sewer downstream to the intersection of Winifredand Humboldt during the 2018 construction season (the Council Project),
Whereas, to avoid additional disruption to the community and to provide efficient removal of debris, the City desires to upgrade its sanitary sewer system by the construction of a manhole on the City 42-inch sanitary sewer at the intersection of State and Stevens (the City Project),
Whereas, both the Council and the City desire that the City Project be constructed in conjunction with the Council Project to minimize community impacts,
Whereas, the City desires to have the Metropolitan Council construct the City Project contemporaneously with the Council Project,
Be it Resolved by the City of Saint Paul that the City execute the attached construction cooperation agreement, and forward it to the Metropolitan Council for execution,
Be it Finally Resolved by the City of Saint Paul that Bruce Elder, Sewer Utility Manager, or his designee be the authorized representative of the City Project.
