Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 14-867 the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota ("HRA") adopted the "Tax Forfeit Property Hold Policy and Sales Procedure ("Tax Forfeit Policy"); and

WHEREAS, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, Inc. and Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services (collectively "the Buyers") have both submitted to the HRA under the Tax Forfeit Policy the applications and fees required to acquire the tax forfeit parcels  located at 667 Lafond Avenue and 632 Edmund Avenue and at 978 Desoto Street, 1000 Jessamine Avenue East, 1111 McLean Avenue and 1372 McLean Avenue ("Properties") for the purposes described in the staff board report accompanying this Resolution; and

WHEREAS, the HRA approved the acquisition from Ramsey County of the Properties and other tax forfeited properties on July 23, 2014 pursuant to Resolution 14-1251; and

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has either approved the HRA's request to acquire the Properties or is in the process of obtaining that approval; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the conditional sale of the Properties described herein to the Buyer on February 25, 2015;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota,
