Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a gift of travel and lodging from the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund for two staff members to attend the 2026 Bank On Leadership Training (BOLT) convening in Charlotte, North Carolina.

WHEREAS, the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund has offered to pay for travel and lodging costs for two Right Track team members to participate in the 2026 Bank On Leadership Training (BOLT) convening; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation's Right Track Program is a current partner of the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund supports Right Track staff in developing and implementing financial empowerment programming for Right Track interns; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Right Track is to connect Saint Paul youth and young adults with meaningful work experience, training, and career exploration opportunities so they are prepared to thrive and prosper; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Right Track Program serves a public purpose; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the Parks and Recreation Department to accept the gift of travel and lodging for two team members and thanks the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund for its ongoing support of the young people of Saint Paul.
