Purpose of Appeal:  Summary Abatement Order:  Need time to determine corrective actions.  Vacant Building Registration:  Need time to obtain $2,085. 

Date of Order(s) Under Appeal:  December 30 and December 29 respectively

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Work order had not been sent on the SAO.

 

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Anita Alexander to a Vacant Building Registration Notice and Summary Abatement Order at 541 CENTRAL AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal but waive the vacant building fee for 90 days to allow owner to obtain a code compliance inspection and pull permits for repairs.  In the meantime, the interior of the house must be cleaned-out in order for inspectors to gain access to make inspections; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
