Pertaining to a Budget Amendment No. 3 for a Source Water Protection Plan Implementation Grant from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) awarded to the Board.

WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (“Board”) adopted its 2024 budget in September 2023; and
WHEREAS, staff had been directed by the Board at its February 13, 2024, meeting to apply for $10,000 in Source Water Protection Plan Implementation grant funding from the Minnesota Department of Health to be used for implementation of the Wellhead Protection Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Board has been awarded $10,000 through a Minnesota Department of Health Source Water Protection Plan Implementation grant and such funds are dedicated to implementing several management strategies outlined in the Wellhead Protection Plan; and
WHEREAS, 2024 Administrative Order No. 3 increases the 2024 spending budget to include $10,000 in Minnesota Depart of Health Grant funds awarded to the Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners does hereby recommend amendment to its 2024 Adopted Budget, resulting in an increase of spending of $10,000 to the 2024 Adopted Budget, resulting in an amended budget of $218,492,236, the details of such are attached, and does recommend approval by the Saint Paul City Council.
