Title

Authorizing the Police Department to expense costs associated with the assessors for Police Officer exams taking place throughout 2025.

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department is seeking actual cost of expenses, which will include luggage fees, mileage, meals, and transportation services, for assessors who will assist in evaluating our candidates for the vacant Officer positions; and

WHEREAS, the officer exams will be during 2025 and there will be up to ten assessors for each exam with an estimated total cost for expenditures of $25,000; and

WHEREAS, the public purpose for the expense is to be able to enhance the qualified selection of assessors to evaluate the Police Officer candidates choosing to take exams; and

WHEREAS, funding for Officer exam expenses were approved as part of the General Fund 2025 Adopted Budget; and

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the 2025 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $25,000 to cover these expenses.
