Ratifying the assessment for Collection of Fire Certificate of Occupancy fees billed during September 7 to October 24, 2024. (File No. CRT2506, Assessment No. 258205)
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File RES 24-1880 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Fire Certificate of Occupancy Fees billed during the time period of September 7 to October 24, 2024; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has considered objections of affected property owners and developed recommendations for the City Council with respect to their assessments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on March 19, 2025 to consider ratification of the assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered and found satisfactory the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the assessment amount for each property will be payable in a term of 1 year, with the property taxes in 2026; unless specified by the Legislative Hearing Officer’s recommended amendments:
RLH TA 25-71: 89 Atwater Street;
RLH TA 25-73: 49 Manitoba Avenue;
RLH TA 25-74: 754 Payne Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the assessment will bear an interest rate of 5.65 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of this resolution; and
RESOLVED, that, pursuant to Chapter 429 of Minnesota State Statues and Chapter 60 of the Saint Paul Administrative Code, the assessment is hereby in all respects ratified.
