Authorizing an increase in 2014 spending authority for the Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks Environmental Grants budget, by $10,000 to fulfill an agreement with the Minnesota Historical Society.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking spending authority to fulfill an agreement with the Minnesota Historical Society; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul received $10,000 in grant funds from the Minnesota Historical Society to create a guide book containing information on the natural and cultural history of the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom site; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, in accordance with Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter, certifies that there are revenues available for appropriation totaling $10,000 in excess of the revenue estimated in the 2014 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that designated Parks and Recreation staff be given permission to authorize spending authority of $10,000, and that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves these amendments to the 2014 budget.
