Ratifying the Assessments for Collection of Vacant Building Fees Services from January 2011. (File No. VB1107, Asmt No. 118036)

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council in Council File 11-615 accepted the Report of Completion for Collection of Vacant Building Fees (Re-Invoiced) in January, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council's Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the assessment roll, considered appeals of affected property owners and developed recommendations for City Council with respect to those assessments; and
WHEREAS, the following assessment was appealed:
RLH TA 11-159 - 1053 Galtier Street - Delete the assessment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on May 18, 2011 to consider ratification of assessment roll; and
WHEREAS, the assessment of benefits, cost and expenses for and in connection with said services, having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same and found the said assessment satisfactory, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects ratified; pursuant to Saint Paul City Charter Chapter 14 and Saint Paul Administrative Code Chapter 60: Property Service Cost Assessments with the following amendments:
571 Van Buren - Waive the Vacant Building fee for 90 days;
RLH TA 11-159 - 1053 Galtier Street - Delete the assessment; and
RESOLVED, that said assessments are hereby determined to be payable in one installment unless specified above in the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommended amendments.
