WHEREAS, In 2023, Jacy started his employment journey with Right Track, the City of Saint Paul's youth employment and training program. Jacy began by working with the Youth on Boards Initiative, which lead to his appointment to serve as a commissioner on the Saint Paul Planning Commission, where he continues to serve our City in this capacity,
WHEREAS, Jacy has continued to grow his skills by continued participation in the Right Track program in Summers 2024, 2025 and 2026 where he has served as a Financial Justice Intern with the Office of Financial Empowerment, interned in Mayor Melvin Carter's office,
WHEREAS, Most recently having served as the Ward 5 City Council Intern in the office of Councilmember Hwa Jeong Kim, where he led the Inaugural State of The Youth address,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, for his exemplary work leading the city’s Inaugural State of the Youth Address, the Saint Paul City Council proclaims September 2nd, 2026, as Jacy Johnson Becker Day in the City of Saint Paul
