Authorizing the Police Department to send four Police Explorers to the Police Memorial Week in Washington, D.C.

Body

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Foundation has provided funding for the Saint Paul Police Explorer program (RES 15-375, RES 15-1615); and

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police would like to send four Explorers along with two officers to Washington, D.C. to attend the Police Memorial Week from May 10, 2017 to May 16, 2017; and

WHEREAS, the public purpose is to educate and expose the Saint Paul Police Explorer students to the historical contributions of police officers; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council approves the travel plans as stated.
