Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to utilize unsold advertising space donated by 10K Advertising and Outfront Media for promotion of the Saint Paul Get Down youth hip hop showcase.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Department of Parks and Recreation organizes the Saint Paul Get Down, a youth-centered hip hop showcase designed to uplift and empower young local artists through creative expression and community celebration; and
WHEREAS, 10K Advertising and Outfront Media, as part of their commitment to community engagement and support for youth development, have offered free use of unsold advertising space on digital billboards within Saint Paul and surrounding areas for the purpose of promoting this event; and
WHEREAS, the estimated value of the donated advertising space is substantial and represents a meaningful contribution to the visibility, reach, and success of the Saint Paul Get Down; and
WHEREAS, no City funds will be expended in exchange for this advertising opportunity, and all donated media will be used solely to support a publicly operated, free-to-attend youth event that aligns with the Department’s mission to foster vibrant, inclusive, and creative community spaces; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation shall acknowledge the contributions of both 10K Advertising and Outfront Media appropriately in accordance with city policy; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized to accept and utilize donated, unsold advertising space on digital billboards from 10K Advertising and Outfront Media; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said advertising shall be used exclusively to promote the Saint Paul Get Down youth hip hop showcase; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City extends its gratitude to 10K Advertising and Outfront Media for their generous, in-kind support of youth arts and community programming.
