Approving the Memorandum of Agreement between the City and the United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local 455, for the purpose of establishing mandatory contributions for the utilization of the Minnesota Paid Leave program. (To be laid over one week for adoption)

Whereas, the Maintenance Labor Agreement (May 1, 2025 - April 30, 2028) between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local No. 455, which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on July 16, 2025; the Memorandum of Agreement for the 2026 Wage and Fringe Adjustment between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local No. 455, which was approved by the Saint Paul City Council on May 6, 2026, continues in full force and effect through April 30, 2027, and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties; and
Whereas, the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local No. 455 have a tentative Memorandum of Agreement for the purpose of establishing mandatory contributions for the utilization of the Minnesota Paid Leave program, that once approved, will be effective the closest pay period following adoption and thereafter until modified or amended by mutual agreement of the parties, now therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council, pursuant to the Saint Paul City Charter Section 6.03.3 (5) hereby approves and ratifies the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and the United Association of Steamfitters Pipefitters Local No. 455.
