Title
Como Regional Park Transportation Implementation Plan

Summary
The Council requested a report from Parks and Recreation on the Como Regional Park Transportation Implementation on the permit parking resolution in the Como area that was presented in February that would take effect in May 2011.  This information presentation to City Council of the key elements of the implementation strategies and concepts are to allow direction to Kimley Horn & Associates to make closing comments before the final recommendations.

The informational report is not a comprehensive plan amendment, nor a regional park amendment, nor does it establish a project budget, s a specific City Council action is not neccarily required at this time.

Analysis
The implementation plan provides the context of the phasing to best serve and leverage each other, along with an opinion of probable costs to implement those solutions. The project phasing is integral to the successful implementation of the plan, therefore the recommended improvements have been categorized as short-term, mid-term and long-term and focused on 5 areas: roadway, parking, shuttle/transit, pedestrian/bicycle and signage/wayfinding.In the 2010 budget, funding was included to identify solutions to transportation and parking at Como.  Work was initiated in February and the report is now complete.
