Approving adverse action against the Auto Repair Garage license held by Superior Auto Repair at 1324 Arcade Street.

WHEREAS, the Auto Repair Garage license held by Superior Auto Repair d/b/a Superior Auto Repair (License ID #20120000708) for the premises located at 1324 Arcade Street in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Imposition of Penalty and License Suspension sent October 17, 2014 stating that on October 2, 2014, a DSI Inspector found evidence the licensee was operating while his license was previously suspended by City Council (RES #14-1446); and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 310.05 (m) (1), the licensing office recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty and a fourteen (14) day suspension; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2014, the attorney representing the licensee called and left a message that this client was willing to accept the imposition of the $500.00 matrix penalty and fourteen (14) day suspension; so therefore be it
RESOLVED, Superior Auto Repair d/b/a Superior Auto Repair is hereby ordered to pay a matrix penalty of $500.00 for operating while the business was suspended. Payment of such penalty shall be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the adoption of this resolution.
FURTHER RESOLVED, Auto Repair Garage license held by Superior Auto Repair d/b/a Superior Auto Repair is hereby suspended for fourteen (14) days. Said suspension will begin at 12 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
