Amending the spending plans for the Parks, Fire, and General Government departments in the General Fund.
Body
WHEREAS, the 2017 City general fund budget includes funding for the citywide costs associated with Paid Parental Leave in the general government accounts; and
WHEREAS the 2017 City general fund budget includes funding for the citywide costs associated with Earned Sick and Safe Time in the general government accounts; and
WHEREAS the Fire department has identified costs within their department related to Paid Parental leave as outlined in the attached; and
WHEREAS the Parks department has identified costs within their department related to Earned Sick and Safe Time as outline in the attached; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul does certify that there are available for transfer of appropriation funds of $80,000 for earned sick and safe time and $47,151 for paid parental leave; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $121,151 is available for transfer of appropriations in the General Fund operating budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
