Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to increase the budget in the Grants and Aid Fund to reflect the increased revenue and spending authority needed to operate the Arts and Learning Grant activity in 2011.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to increase the 2011 budget in the Arts and Learning Grant Activity (33195) to pay for the 2011 costs of a two year program (7/1/2010 - 6/30/2012) where the funding was received in 2010 through the Arts and Learning Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board; and
WHEREAS, this 2010 revenue was carried forward in fund balance; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to use $75,000 in fund balance to increase the available spending budget in 2011 and adequately maintain the operations of the program; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $75,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 Arts and Learning Grant budget; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, that $75,000 is available for appropriation in the 2011 Arts and Learning Grant budget, and said budget as therefore adopted by the Council is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
