Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of materials to be used in the construction of a fishing pier at Lake Phalen and thanking the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District for its generous gift.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized entry into a joint powers agreement with the State of Minnesota, pursuant to Resolution 15-571 to allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to jointly install a fishing pier at Lake Phalen with the Department of Natural Resources; and
WHEREAS, the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District has offered to donate any remaining materials needed to construct a fishing pier at Lake Phalen, consisting of lumber and fasteners to deck the pier and to construct railings; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of these materials will reduce the amount of money the City will need to pay for its share of the pier construction; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the donation of lumber and fasteners to be used in construction of the fishing pier at Lake Phalen and thanks the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District for its generous gift.
