Approving a Rental Hall New Location license to Cakes By Jerilyn Mariee LLC d/b/a Venue 1944 (License ID 20250000938) for the premises located at 839 University Ave W Suite #105.

WHEREAS, on April 2, 2025, Cakes By Jerilyn Mariee LLC d/b/a Venue 1944 (License ID 20250000938) applied for a Rental Hall New Location license for the premises located at 839 University Ave W Suite #105; and
WHEREAS, on June 10, 2025, the Department of Safety and Inspections received a letter from the Frogtown Neighborhood Association stating its support for the issuance of the license; and
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2025, the Department of Safety and Inspections sent out the required License Application Notification, with a response date of August 9, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Safety and Inspections received no objections to approval of the Rental Hall New Location license; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds to deny approval of the license; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, a Rental Hall New Location license is hereby approved and issued to Cakes By Jerilyn Mariee LLC d/b/a Venue 1944 (License ID 20250000938) for the premises located at 839 University Ave W Suite #105, with the following licensing conditions:
A license is issued to this location for a Rental Hall use only, as defined under Chapter 405 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code.
2. Licensee agrees not to rent the building to, operate, and/or allow to be operated on the premises any use that meets the definition of a “public dance hall” as defined under Chapter 405 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code.
3. Licensee acknowledges having received a copy of Chapter 405 of the City of Saint Paul Legislative Code.
