WHEREAS, The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) is holding a convening of library and civic leaders for a workshop on AI in public life is being held in Seattle, Washington on November 12 and 13, 2026;
WHEREAS, the Library wishes to accept airfare and hotel accommodation paid for by DPLA to support participation in the workshop by Library Director Maureen Hartman; and
WHEREAS, the content of this workshop and the collaboration with leaders in the field are of high value to the Saint Paul Public Library and the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, attendance at the conference will further the Library’s mission of welcoming all people to connect, learn, participate and grow; therefore, be it now
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul Public Library Board accepts the gift of travel and lodging for Maureen Hartman to attend the conference and thanks Digital Public Library of America for its gift and recognition of Saint Paul Public Library as a leader in the field.
