Approving the Mayor’s appointments of Courtney Henry and Amy Brendmoen to a six-year term to the Saint Paul Port Authority.

Body

 

WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statute 469.050 (Subdivision 1) states that the Saint Paul Port Authority consists of seven (7) commissioners, two of whom must be members of the Saint Paul City Council, appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the Council; and

 

WHEREAS, the terms for current Saint Paul Port Authority Commissioners Nneka Constantino and John Bennett expire on July 31, 2024; and

 

WHEREAS, Courtney Henry has expressed an interest in serving as a commissioner on the Saint Paul Port Authority given his professional background in as a business owner and previous leadership in the business community including chairing the Midway Chamber of Commerce; and

 

WHEREAS, Amy Brendmoen has expressed an interest in serving as a commissioner on the Saint Paul port Authority given her previous service as a commissioner during her tenure as a member of the Saint Paul City Council and her extensive knowledge of Saint Paul city government; and

 

WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Courtney Henry and Amy Brendmoen to the Saint Paul Port Authority to a six-year term ending on July 31, 2030; now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointments of Courtney Henry and Amy Brendmoen to a six-year term ending July 31, 2030, as commissioners on the Saint Paul Port Authority.
