Title

Authorizing the City to enter into a lease agreement with the Board of Water Commissioners for the Saint Paul Police Department's use of Highland Water Tower No. 3 for communications equipment.

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (“City”), on behalf of the Saint Paul Police Department (“SPPD”) desires to enter into a site lease agreement (“Lease”) with the Board of Water Commissioners (“Board”) for SPPD’s use of Highland Water Tower No. 3, located at 750 Snelling Avenue South to attach antennas, utility lines, and cables for police communication purposes; and

 

WHEREAS, the initial term of the Lease is five (5) years, commencing on January 1, 2025 and terminating on December 31, 2029, with three automatic 5-year renewal terms; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board agrees to waive base rent; and

 

WHEREAS, the Lease includes a City indemnification of the Board in the event of any damages or injuries caused by SPPD's use of the Premises; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the Lease in a form and content substantially as set for in Exhibit A attached hereto.
