Pertaining to authorizing professional services with SRF Consulting to provide engineering services.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Public Works is planning major improvements to Summit Ave from Mississippi River Boulevard to Kellogg Blvd, including roadway reconstruction, sidewalk replacements, and safety enhancements; and
WHEREAS, much of the water distribution infrastructure in the project area dates back to the 1880s and contains a significant number of lead service lines that need replacement; and
WHEREAS, coordinating water infrastructure upgrades with the roadway reconstruction will be cost-effective and reduce construction impacts on residents; and
WHEREAS, SRF Consulting proposes to provide professional planning and design engineering services for the Summit Ave project to SPRWS at a cost not to exceed $294,929.25; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes SRF Consulting to provide professional engineering services for the Summit Ave project and hereby authorizes its General Manager of Saint Paul Regional Water Services to execute any and all forms as may be required for such agreements.
