Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for up to $3,040,0000 from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Legacy grant.

Body

WHEREAS, the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant is requesting proposals to fund program development that features educational programs and habitat enhancement, special exhibits, music appreciation programs, and historical garden access and preservation; and

 

WHEREAS, political subdivisions and state agencies are eligible for said Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Legacy grant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for up to $3,040,0000 from the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund Legacy grant funds from the state to support the development and implementation of programs, exhibits, interpretive materials, or other activities that benefit the public and further the City’s strategic priorities; and

 

WHEREAS, the City certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the grant agreement; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, a division of the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Legacy Grant.
