Title

Authorizing the appropriate City personnel to enter into agreement 1025852 with Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for the realignment of the intersection of Payne Avenue (CSAH 58) and Seventh Street (T.H. 5).

Body

WHEREAS, City Project No. 17-P-1414 provides for realignment of Payne Avenue with Seventh Street; and

WHEREAS, MnDOT have been working closely with Saint Paul Public Works. This project will also include the reconstruction of Payne Avenue from Seventh Street to Woodward Avenue; and

WHEREAS, Council Resolution RES 14-1019 authorizing the City to request funds from the FY 2016 MnDOT Metro Municipal Agreement Program to reconstruct the intersection of Trunk Highway 5 (East 7^th Street) and County State Aid Highway 58 (Payne Avenue), and making a commitment for the local share of funding if grants are awarded was passed on June 11, 2014; and

WHEREAS, the City is working on formal funding agreements with both Ramsey County and MnDOT which require the appropriate City personnel to sign the agreements; and

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:  that the City of Saint Paul enter into an agreement with MnDOT; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the proper City officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any attachments to the Agreement.
