Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for all costs associated with the Fire Explorers program training and events in 2026.
Body
WHEREAS, the proper City officials are hereby authorized to remit payment for Fire Department Fire Explorers training and events not to exceed $1,500; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department received donations from the Saint Paul Fire Foundation and Firefighters Union Local 21 of $4,666.66 to support the Fire Explorers program in RES PH 26-94; and
WHEREAS, this will pay for costs incurred by the Fire Department to provide food and beverages for training or events for the Fire Explorers; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these expenses will be paid from the Fire Department AU 10022210; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the expenditure of money for these costs for the Fire Department Fire Explorers for training serves a public purpose; and now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $1,500 for the Fire Department Fire Explorers program.
