Amending the 2024 Regional Water Services budget resulting in an increase in spending and financing of $37,000 for a Metropolitan Council grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul (“Board”) adopted its 2024 budget in September 2023; and
WHEREAS, staff had been directed by the Board at its April 16, 2024, meeting to apply for $37,000 in Water Efficiency Grant Program funding from the Metropolitan Council to be used for toilet efficiency program; and
WHEREAS, the Board has been awarded $37,000 through Metropolitan Council for a toilet efficiency program beneficial to participating property owners; and
WHERAS, at its July 9, 2024, meeting, the Board approved accepting the grant award and executing the grant agreement via RES 24-967; and
WHEREAS, at its December 10, 2024, meeting the Board of Water Commissioners approved RES 24-1736 recommending approval of the amendment to the 2024 Adopted Budget; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor does hereby recommend amendment to its 2024 Adopted Budget, resulting in an increase of spending and financing in the amount of $37,000, resulting in an amended 2024 Budget of $218,865,536, the details of such are attached.
