Approving adverse action against the Taxicab Vehicle license for Cab #811 held by Bashir Ahmed Yusuf, d/b/a Twin Cities Airport Taxi & Limo Service.

WHEREAS, adverse action was taken against the Taxicab Vehicle license for Cab #811 (License ID #20120003760) held by Bashir Ahmed Yusuf d/b/a Twin Cities Airport Taxi & Limo Service for the City of Saint Paul, by an Amended Notice of Violation dated April 24, 2013, alleging the licensee submitted a Certificate of Liability Insurance for Cab #811 showing a lapse in insurance coverage from November 11, 2012 to November 14, 2012; and
WHEREAS, per Saint Paul Legislative Code ยง 310.05 (m) (2), the licensing office recommended a $500.00 matrix penalty; and
WHEREAS, licensee did not respond to the Notice of Violation to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Violation stated that if the licensee failed to pay the $500.00 matrix penalty or request a hearing by May 6, 2013, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that Bashir Ahmed Yusuf d/b/a Twin Cities Airport Taxi & Limo Service is hereby ordered to pay a $500.00 matrix penalty for a lapse in liability insurance coverage for Cab #811. Payment of such penalty shall be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the adoption of this resolution.
