Accepting a temporary easement and authorizing payment to the adjacent property owner for the expansion of Pedro Park.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (“City”) has approved plans to expand existing Pedro Park in downtown Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of temporary property rights is required from the neighboring property owner at 0 9th Street East for safety buffer and related construction; and
WHEREAS, the City has secured an agreement for a temporary construction easement identified in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to pay just compensation for said easement, as determined by an independent appraisal and negotiated and agreed to between the City and the property owner; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Manager has recommended purchase of said easement at the agreed-upon value, as provided in Exhibit A; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby authorize acceptance of said temporary easement; and further authorize and direct payment for said easement.
