Authorizing the Police Department to enter into a lease amendment and rental rate adjustment with the Port Authority for the Impound Lot.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul entered into a lease with the Port Authority for 830 Barge Channel Road for the Police Department’s Impound Lot (RES 14-405); and
WHEREAS, the lease is a 20 year term, beginning December 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2033; and
WHEREAS, the department is requesting the lease to be amended as attached with reference to the Annual Base Rent and Per Car Tonnage Rent increases beginning June 1, 2024; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize the City to amend the lease with the Port Authority and the proper city officials are authorized and directed to take all necessary actions to execute the same.
