Amending Council File RLH AR 25-103 to reduce the assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2025 at 601 DALE STREET NORTH (AKA 621 THOMAS AVENUE). (File No. CG25Q2B5, Assessment No. 250122)

 

Body

WHEREAS on December 17, 2025, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 25-103, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2025. (File No. CG25Q2B5, Assessment No. 250122); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 601 Dale Street North, aka 621 Thomas Avenue, being described as: Chute Brothers Division No. 4 Addition to the City of St. Paul, Minn. S 44 Ft of Lots 29 and Lot 30, with the property identification number 35-29-23-11-0216 was assessed an amount of $550.12; and

 

WHEREAS, Public Works staff requested that this assessment be reduced from $550.12 to $275.06. This property was incorrectly billed for four 96-gallon carts in Quarter 2, when there were only two 96-gallon carts at the property. This happened when cart information was imported over from the previous hauler during the garbage program transition and there was an error during import; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $550.12, plus any accrued interests, is reduced to $275.06 and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this reduction from the 2026 Property Taxes Statement.
