Authorizing Parks and Recreation to establish two additional budgets in 2011 for a total of $18,500 in the Grant & Aid Fund, to operate the Sprockets Out-of-School Time Network: one to provide tracking for the Saint Paul Foundation Grant and the other to track the Mardag Foundation Grant.
Body
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the St Paul Foundation and a $20,000 grant from the Mardag Foundation, both to be used during 2011-12 for the operation of the Sprockets Out-of-School Time Network; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has already received Council permission, on CF# 11-822 and CF# 11-769, to accept these two grants; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has determined that $9,500 of the St Paul Foundation Grant should be established as the 2011 budget for revenue and spending; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation has also determined that $9,000 of the Mardag Foundation Grant should be established as the 2011 budget for revenue and spending; and
WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to add and establish these two new activities with the above listed budgets for 2011; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $18,500 in excess of those estimated in the 2011 Grant and Aid budget; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor, $18,500 is available for appropriation in the 2011 Grant & Aid Fund, and said budget as therefore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
