Purpose of Appeal: 1) Exterior - SPLC 34.09(2) 32.32(2) guardrail.
2) Interior - SPLC 34.13 (1) Habitable ceiling height.
1) These steps are original when we bought the house. It is consistent w/ the neighborhood and other properties surrounding.
2) It is the natural contruction of this older home. It is only short by a few inches. We ask for exemption please.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Alana Sasaki to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1701 MARGARET STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council withdraw Item #1 (guardrail), denies the appeal for a ceiling height variance on the upper level bedroom where the ceiling peaks at 6 feet and 7 inches and grants to October 1, 2015 for compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
