Establishing a financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $34,600 for funds granted from the Toro Foundation and Neighborhood STAR funds for the Arlington Soccer Field project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul’s Department of Parks and Recreation received a grant of $19,600 from The Toro Foundation to improve athletic field space in Saint Paul, and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul received an additional $15,000 from Neighborhood STAR funds; and
WHEREAS, said funding will be utilized with existing project funds which satisfy the minimum required local match for funding to construct an irrigated soccer field at Arlington Hills Community Center; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will provide construction management and implementation services for the project; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said grant funds and establish a financing and spending plan for the Arlington Soccer Field project; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $34,600 in excess of those estimated in the 2022 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $34,600 is available for appropriation in the 2022 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2022 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby amended as attached.
