Authorizing the Police Department to purchase light refreshments for witnesses, victims, and suspects during critical incident investigations and assistance programs.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department would like to provide water, coffee, pop and snacks to witnesses, victims, suspects, and outside law enforcement agencies during critical incident investigations and assistance programs at the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the public purpose is to provide an environment fostering trust and respect to the visitors to the department for these specific occasions; and
WHEREAS, funding for critical incident investigations and assistance programs expenses were approved as part of the General Fund 2025 Adopted Budget; and
BE IT ORDERED, that pursuant to the 2025 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $1,200 to cover these expenses.
