Title

Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $8,482.59 for funds received from the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation for the upkeep and environment maintenance of Swede Hollow Park.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has received $8,482.59 from the St. Paul & Minnesota Foundation for the care and upkeep of Swede Hollow Park; and

 

WHEREAS, funding is to be allocated as follows: $7,634.33 for the Department of Parks and Recreation for the care and upkeep of Swede Hollow Park, and $848.26 for protecting and to maintain the environment and ecology; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation seeks approval to accept this generous funding and amend the existing financing and spending budget for the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $8,482.59 in excess of those estimated in the 2021 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $8,482.59 is available for appropriation in the 2021 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2021 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby further amended; and, be it

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul thanks the Olivia Irvine Dodge and Thomas Irvine Dodge Fund of the St. Paul & Minnesota Foundation for their generous funding.
